The last thing I ever thought I would be when I was young, was a writer.
After completing my book in 2019, I looked back and remarked to myself about how easy it was when everything was said and done.
It seems, I’m a writer after all.
As we rush headlong towards goals and accomplishments, we often find ourselves on a path we never thought we would be when we first started.
As I was interviewing a podcast guest the other day she mentioned how she started doing what she thought was best, because she didn’t know the “right way” to do it.
And that statement rang true.
I’m here not because I followed the “right way.” But rather as a result of following every wrong way I could, for years.
A litany of mistakes mark my path and looking back, perhaps they aren’t as bad as I first thought (though many felt like the end of the world at the time) but here I am – better for them and able to pass along lessons learned the hard way.
And the best part?
I’m not done this journey. I’m still walking the path. And there are so many more lessons to learn.
And I can’t wait to share them.
